Caprolactone homopolymer Introduction

It is a semi-crystalline biodegradable aliphatic polyester, which is prepared by ring-opening polymerization of ε-Caprolactone monomer. Its glass transition temperature is about-60°C and melting point is about 60 C. It has excellent flexibility, processability and compatibility with other polymers. The degradation of PCL is mainly through hydrolysis and enzymolysis, and the degradation rate is slow, which can be regulated by copolymerization or blending. Because of its good biocompatibility and processability, it is widely used in many fields and is an important green polymer material.
