Fondaparinux sodium API is a synthetic highly selective inhibitor of X (Xa) factor activation. Its antithrombotic activity is achieved through selective inhibition of factor Xa mediated by antithrombin III (ATIII). Research has shown that it selectively binds to antithrombin III (a natural coagulation inhibitor in the human body) to enhance the neutralizing activity of ATIII towards factor Xa by about 300 times, thereby interrupting the coagulation cascade reaction and strongly and specifically inhibiting factor Xa. Factor Xa is a key link in the "waterfall reaction" of coagulation, and inhibiting it can effectively prevent the formation and expansion of blood clots.
