Miglitol is an oral hypoglycemic drug for adult type 2 diabetes, belonging to α - glucosidase inhibitors.It reduces postprandial blood glucose levels by inhibiting alpha glucosidase in the small intestine, slowing down the absorption rate of carbohydrates.
