6-diazo-5-oxo,l-norleucin belongs to the category of glutamine antagonists, which can irreversibly inhibit the catabolic metabolism of glutamine. In vitro experiments showed that a concentration of 0.3 mM for 1 hour could inhibit glutamine catabolism in WI-L2 cells.
